We held the sacrament at the staff training session
Yesterday, on the last day of staff training, we held the Eucharist.
The background of the Letter to the Corinthians, in which the Eucharist was written, was a state of division and lack of unity in the church.
The Eucharist is often spoken of as a personal relationship with Jesus, but the broken bread in the Eucharist represents the body of Christ,
and we prayed that the YWAM church and the community of the church we belong to would be blessed as one in Christ and as God's family.
1 Corinthians 11:23-25 NIV
For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me."
